JEJAK helps you find where to start. Explore mapped outdoor spots, understand what is known, and open a navigation app for the next step.
Understand each kind of listing
Researched guide means a written guide with linked sources and a desk-review date. It is not a physical inspection or a live access check. The starter collection has researched guides across all 13 states and 3 federal territories, including Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan. It does not cover every outdoor place; broader map listings can still have limited detail. Sample means a fictional example for testing the design. Navigation is disabled. OpenStreetMap means community map data, not a PGLAB inspection. Local collection means content entered in this browser's local studio, with the editor's sources shown.
Not a trail navigation or rescue app
Nearby does not mean publicly accessible or safe. Difficulty, accessibility and conditions need checking. No turn-by-turn trail guidance, background GPS tracking, live closure monitoring or offline maps are provided in this version.
Your privacy
Location is requested only after you choose. Precise location stays in page memory and disappears on reload. Nearby queries are rounded to three decimal places. Mapping providers receive search requests, viewed map areas and your IP address. Saved places, local catalogue content and preferences stay in this browser. Your comparison shortlist stays in this tab only. A saved copy uses more recent information when that record is loaded, but is not continuously monitored. JEJAK does not connect to customer accounts, orders or payments.
Sources & service limits
Live listings and map tiles are © OpenStreetMap contributors. Search uses Nominatim and Overpass. Live search uses public services with manual searches, rate limits and caching. Service availability varies; the included researched guides remain available when live search is busy.
Landscape artwork is illustrative, not a photograph of a destination. No live weather, crowds or “open now” claims are generated.
Home screen
On iPhone Safari, open Share, then Add to Home Screen when available. This keeps JEJAK easy to open; it does not enable background GPS or offline maps.
